Technical note: this page uses a new script that I have not used before.
It's pretty nifty. Not only does it gradually fade the images in and out, but, once you open one of the images,
you can navigate with the keyboard using the N key for Next Image, the P key for Previous Image, and the X key to Close the large image
that you are looking at. It was written by a fellow named Lokesh Dhakar, and you can find it at http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/.
